“There is one God and one Mediator between God and men, the Man Christ Jesus, who gave Himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.” (1 Timothy 2 v 5, 6)

The real presence of Jesus

Is our inspiration, prayerfully given,

This touch of heaven.

In Jesus’ resurrection

Is our everlasting joy.

Our protection is in Jesus’ intercession,

A love that claims possession of us.

The † wins our confidence

In the God of mystery,

Mankind’s history assured in Jesus.

Offer then prayer of adoration

As the Lord Jesus, our Saviour,

Gifts us the Spirit of holiness

To shield us when we turn to Jesus,

Jesus, the Lord, God’s Word, our truth.

“Every word of God is pure, He is a shield to those who put their trust in Him.” (Proverbs 30 v 5)

“ ‘I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them’.” (Ezekiel 36 v 27)

Thank You Lord God for this tangible blessing. “Blessed is everyone who fears You LORD, who walks in Your ways” (based on Psalm 128 v 1) as taught us by the Lord Jesus through the Holy Spirit. When we labour in Jesus name, we are told “You shall be happy and it shall be well with you.” (v 2)

Thus the Holy Spirit enables us to become more like the Lord Jesus. I ask that by Your loving care You protect whatever is good within us, allowing us to love in Jesus’ name. It is only by becoming more like the Lord Jesus on earth, we will come to share in His glory in heaven. Therefore as we need to pray about all things, please keep sending us the Spirit of prayer to safeguard, guide and inspire us. Amen.
